Planning Commission Advisors: Rose Petrucha, Terry Cullen; Guests: Shirley Mora, Rhoda Franklin, Connie Gee-Abate Absent: Phyllis Pacyna, Shelia Spicola, Lisa DeVitto, Renee Meehan, Deborah Culbert (excused) Not Excused - Jeffrey Siewert, Pam Tayon Call to OrderMeeting was called to order at 6:40 pm. Quorum was reached later in the meeting. Minutes for October 6th meeting were approved as written after quorum was established. Reports1. DICA - Charner has sent article to DICA to put in their newsletter for Nov. 2. Waterfront Property Association - No report. 3. Grant - Lorraine reported that we were turned down for monies. 4. Adalia Group - No Report 5. Publicity Plans 6. Connie Gee Abate reported the costs of the various ways we could create the theme song and it was decided that she was to look into getting license to recreate the music at .08¢ per copy we make (e.g., 1,000 copies $80.00) and not use a professional recording studio as it was too expensive. There is another license to obtain that for adding new words to the music… the cost to be determined. Connie is to get detail on the making of the Theme song based on our decisions tonight. Unfinished BusinessTerry Cullen passed out his version of the “Vision” brochure. He asked that we read it for homework bringing back with us next meeting the changes we would like to see. He reviewed parts of the brochure with us showing his intention for writing it in the fashion he did. We had a discussion on the elements. We then created “bubble” areas on a map of values that could not easily be visioned in words. New BusinessThe Chair asked if she could just communicate individually with the task force members on assigning tasks for the Open House. There was general agreement. Next Meeting(s)It was discussed and generally agreed that we would meet for the next three weeks each week to make sure we were ready for the Open House. Scheduled: October 27th, November 3rd, November 10th (if needed) at 6:30 pm - Tennis Courts. We closed the meeting with Connie Gee singing “What a Wonderful World” for us to CD music. There was a tremendous round of applause. Meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm. |
