The Task Force is charged by the Tampa City Council to create a neighborhood plan that reflects the community's ideas on growth, historic preservation, municipal services and quality of life. This is a grassroots project. The Task Force itself is made up of your neighbors who want to hear your ideas and concerns about the future of Davis Islands. The Task Force's regular community meetings are the best way to make your voice heard. |
Vote June 6 on Davis Islands' FutureAfter five years of intense community discussion, neighborhood meetings and study circles, Davis Islands residents will vote June 6 on the Community Plan that specifies how Davis Islands will grow and develop during the next 20 years. The vote will be 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Room 125 at the Hillsborough Community College Training Center, 39 Columbia Drive on Davis Islands. The Community Plan will be presented to Davis Islands residents at a public meeting at 6pm May 23, 2007, at the same location, Room 125, HCC Training Center, 39 Columnbia Dr. Members of the Davis Islands Neighborhood Planing Task Force, which guided the development of the Plan, will be present. May 23 Plan PresentationAll Davis Islands residents are urged to attend the 6pm May 23, 2007, meeting at which the Community Plan will be presented and discussed. It will be the last time for Davis Islands residents to influence the final version of the plan before the vote June 6. Vote on June 6The postcards were printed and mailed to Davis Islands residents by the City of Tampa's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations.
