Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council

Established as Florida's first regional planning council in 1962, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council helps coordinate regional land use and zoning among 43 jurisdictions around Tampa Bay. The Council meets monthly.

The Planning Commission

Established in 1959 by a special act of the Florida Legislature, the The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission was created as a joint city-county agency and is designated the official "Local Planning Agency" responsible for comprehensive long-range planning throughout Hillsborough County and the cities of Tampa, Plant City and Temple Terrace. The Commission meets monthly.
