Entry into the first section of the open house. Here, Lee Medart explains one
of the displays to Randy
Goers, Director of the City's Strategic Planning Department.

Sign-in table with residential volunteers. Thank you!

Doing nothing is always an option. However, do you like the speeding of traffic? The parking congestion in the Village? - the consequence if you vote to do nothing, is things will remain the same and/or get worse. The reason for choosing some options for the PLAN, is to change the possible detrimental future of Davis Islands - to have some input as to what happens in the future.

Why is it taking so long to get a PLAN? Notice from the board, the steps in
the process of creating
a PLAN. We have been scrupulous in referring to the community for every step
we've taken in this
process. The end result in this process will be what the community
has given us in the
Open-houses as well as interviews and personal dialogues.

The subcommittee of the Task Force, Mixed Use/Non-residential, developed some
suggestions for
IF the Village grows (the Task Force is not growing the Village but economic
forces might), where
would you like to see it grow. The variations of the three suggestions for an
East/West growth are
shown in the sketches below.
